Closing date:Number of positions: 1Recruiter name:Ruba HijahReference number: 65644Main Purpose of JobTo perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and guidelinesKey Responsibility AreasPerform routine tests according to professional standards and guidelinesMonitor sample management, including sorting and allocation based on testing requirementsProcess clinical chemistry, immunology and serology, autoimmune, haematology, coagulation, blood transfusion and clinical microscopy tests and related laboratory functionsConduct analysis of body fluids, blood specimens, urine and spinal fluidResult analysis and verification of accuracy of findingsContribute to relevant quality improvement initiatives aimed at mitigating risks, compliance, governance and increased patient safetyActively contribute and guide where needed relevant training and health and safety initiativesOperate, calibrate and monitor effective functioning of standard laboratory equipment that includes analysers and maintenance of temperature logsRequired EducationA relevant Bachelors degree in medical laboratory sciences or a related fieldRequired ExperienceAt least 3-5 years full time experience as a medical laboratory technologist in clinical chemistryRequired Job Skills and KnowledgeCorrect maintenance of instrumentation according to manufacturers guidelinesDeveloping standard operating proceduresComputer Literacy (Microsoft Office)Knowledge of real time multiplex PCR and close molecular systemsKnowledgeable in laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and instrumentation troubleshootingLaboratory information systems and reportingAll applicants will be considered with the understanding that preference will be given to the designated groups in accordance with the United Arab Emirates Emiratization Program.
