Mechanical Product Design Engineer

Job Description Role Overview: You will join Ficosa as a full-time Mechanical Product Design Engineer based in Hyderabad, playing a crucial role in developing advanced technology systems for vision, safety, connectivity, and efficiency in the motor and mobility sectors. Your responsibilities will include providing end-to-end solutions for product development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading the mechanical product team, and ensuring effective product development. Key Responsibilities: - Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Provide end-to-end solutions for product development, including finalizing architecture, design, prototype, validation, packaging, and manufacturing ramp-up. - Utilize strong knowledge of Engineering fundamentals and apply them during concept generation or product re-design. - Implement new Product Development systems like DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, and QC Tools. - Lead and collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to optimize components in terms of cost, quality, and manufacturability. - Ensure compliance with mechanical and safety standards for mechatronic product development. - Lead CAD engineers, validate 3D and 2D CAD, and preferably have knowledge in CATIA V5. - Apply and represent GD&T as per required standards (ASME Y / ISO 1101). - Possess in-depth knowledge of Material Science. - Work with PLM/CAD data management tools, such as Teamcenter. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead technical assignments. - Mentor team members and lead technical assignments. - Demonstrate self-motivation, a results-oriented mindset, and effective written and verbal communication skills in English. - Experience working in geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups.
