Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | Posted on 03/03/2026The Mechanical HVAC Engineer will be responsible for the design, execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with the ability to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local Saudi regulations.The candidate will play a key role in optimizing system performance, ensuring energy efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting timely project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign HVAC systems including chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, ducting layouts, ventilation, and exhaust systems.Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure accurate system planning and implementation.Perform heat load calculations and equipment selection as per ASHRAE and international standards.Prepare HVAC design calculations, technical submittals, and shop drawings.Coordinate with MEP teams, consultants, architects, and contractors for seamless project execution.Supervise HVAC installation works at site and ensure adherence to approved drawings and safety standards.Monitor material procurement and ensure compliance with project requirements.Conduct inspections, testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.Identify technical issues at site and provide effective troubleshooting solutions.Ensure compliance with Saudi building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and handover documentation.Support cost estimation, project planning, and scheduling activities.Essential QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HVAC engineering experience (Gulf experience preferred).Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and installation practices.Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and international HVAC codes.Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.Required Technical SkillsProficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Elite, or equivalent).Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to review shop drawings.Understanding of chilled water systems, ducting systems, air distribution, and ventilation systems.Knowledge of heat load calculation and equipment sizing.Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) integration.Good knowledge of energy efficiency practices and sustainable HVAC solutions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
