Mechanical Engineer (Odor Control System)

Job OverviewStantec is looking to hire an Electrical, Mechanical and Instrument Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) rehabilitation project in Dubai. The role involves managing rehabilitation and repair of civil works, extending plant capacity to approximately 175,000 m3/day, and optimizing operations of the existing 260,000 m3/day STP to achieve the highest efficiency and accommodate up to 435,000 m3/day. The position is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is a full‑time, regular employment role.ResponsibilitiesRehabilitation and repair of civil works at the STP.Extension of plant capacity to around 175,000 m3/day.Optimization of existing 260,000 m3/day STP operations.Supervise construction works and ensure compliance with specifications.Coordinate emergency works and collaborate with Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities.QualificationsRelevant degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.Minimum 15 years of experience in equipment and control systems within sewage treatment plants.Full knowledge of existing work systems in Dubai Municipality sewage treatment plants.Experience with mechanical, electrical equipment and instruments in STPs, pumping stations, and infrastructure design.Experience handling emergency works and coordinating with public authorities.Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Primavera.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Capacity to make decisions independently.Additional DetailsWork Location: United Arab Emirates – DubaiEmployment Type: Full‑TimeJob Type: RegularJob Category: Mechanical Engineering#J-18808-Ljbffr
