Job Description
Job Title:Mechanical Engineer InspectorJob Description:Highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Inspector with 7–10 years of post-contract supervision experience in reputable consultancy firms, particularly on residential developments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in overseeing mechanical works on-site and ensuring full compliance with approved technical specifications, project standards, authority regulations, and quality requirements throughout construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.Responsibilities:Conduct daily site inspections to verify that MEP installations conform to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.Review mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans prior to execution.Monitor construction activities related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems to ensure quality workmanship and schedule compliance.Issue NCRs, site observations, and follow-up actions where deviations or non-conformities are identified.Coordinate with the main contractor, subcontractors, and supervision teams to resolve technical challenges on-site.Verify mechanical system installation, commissioning, and testing in accordance with applicable codes and authority requirements.Attend technical, coordination, and progress meetings as required.Ensure all mechanical works are executed in accordance with QCS, international standards, and safety protocols.Prepare detailed site inspection reports, test results, snag lists, and final handover documentation.Support the project team during commissioning, testing, and handing over of mechanical systems.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.7–10 years of post-contract supervision experience in reputable consultancy firms.Strong background and proven project involvement in residential developments (mid-rise / high-rise / compounds).Solid knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water systems, firefighting, plumbing, and drainage.Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission procedures (QCDD, Kahramaa, Ashghal, Civil Defense).Strong understanding of QCS, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and other international codes and standards.Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections concurrently.Professional registration, MMUP/UPDA certification is an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
