As an internal-facing function, the team supports PwC Middle East’s operational integrity by ensuring the firm meets all internal tax compliance, governance, and reporting requirements across the region.How You’ll ContributeTaxSupport the PwC ME Group’s own non-Middle East tax reporting requirementsSupport the Tax Advisory Manager in providing tax advice to the business to help the Firm manage the tax impact on its businessDevelop strong working relationships with all stakeholders across the PwC ME GroupBe up-to-date on the most recent global and local tax developmentsBe actively involved in and a positive influence on team recruiting, development, training and retentionTracking the incoming requests for tax adviceReviewing all types of provided documentation from a tax perspective, including client contracts, agreements with suppliers, subcontractors or other PwC offices, internal/external formsMaintaining the tax advice folders and keeping them up to dateCompleting US FATCA and CRS forms for the various ME entitiesCompleting various other tax-related forms (withholding tax / treaty-relief forms, etc)Applying for UAE tax residency certificatesWhat You’ll BringEducation - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field required.Language - Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic preferable but not essential.Overall Experience - 3+ years of tax experience ideally pertaining to multi-jurisdictional businesses.Previous experience with corporate tax and withholding tax is required.An understanding of other taxes and international tax concepts would be an advantage.Specific Experience - Must have corporate income tax compliance experience.Tax accounting experience would be an advantage.Experience in the Professional Services industry in a top tier (Big 4) firm would be an advantage.Knowledge and Skills - Basic level of understanding across a broad range of tax related matters including compliance and corporate tax optimization.Ability to interpret tax legislation, rules and regulationsHigh level of analytical skills, including proficiency with MS toolsAbility to adhere to procedures, controls and policies for functional areas of responsibilityOrganization, thoroughness, eye for detail and proactivity requiredExcellent time management skills requiredStrong verbal communication skills and business writing skills required to effectively communicate with stakeholders in relation to tax and ability to simplify complex concepts to a non-tax technical audienceHow You’ll Make a DifferenceAt PwC Middle East, we expect all our people to embody the skills and behaviours of The PwC Professional framework, helping us deliver on our strategy while growing and developing as leaders at every level.Why You’ll Love Working at PwCAt PwC Middle East, you’ll find more than just a job - you’ll build a meaningful career, supported by rewards and benefits that help you thrive.
