Math Teacher

<div><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Excellent knowledge of the subject. Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.</li><li>Strong understanding and implementation of the California State Standards</li><li>Experience in using various mathematical software(s) which would enhance the teaching and learning experience in the classroom.</li><li>Ability to implement Inquiry Based Learning in teaching Mathematics by triggering curiosity and fostering critical thinking skills. Ability to ignite a child’s passion and excitement and drives them to want to learn more.</li><li>Experienced in using the graphing calculator is an advantage.</li><li>Support entrepreneurial endeavors.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Teach all areas related to the subject and relevant curriculum.</li><li>Establish and enforce rules for behavior, policies and procedures to maintain order among students.</li><li>Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior and social development.</li><li>Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.</li><li>Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities.</li><li>Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.</li><li>Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.</li><li>Prepare students for later grades by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.</li><li>Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.</li><li>Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.</li><li>Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their students' progress, and to determine their priorities for their students and their resource needs.</li><li>Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of ADEC/KHDA and schools.</li><li>Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests.</li><li>Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and SEN Department.</li><li>Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students and activities, as required by ADEC/KHDA and School.</li><li>Assess students through conducting quizzes, tests, project etc ...</li><li>Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.</li><li>Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress.</li><li>Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.</li><li>Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine students' developmental levels and needs.</li><li>Prepare for assigned classes, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.</li><li>Utilize different types of technology in the classroom in order to create meaningful learning experiences for students of all ages.</li><li>Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.</li><li>Attend professional meetings including staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve performance, and serve on committees as required.</li><li>Perform break duties as scheduled by the section’s administrators.</li><li>Perform administrative duties such as assisting in school libraries, play areas and cafeteria monitoring, and during the bus timings.</li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues and superiors.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
