You will lead the launch and scaling of Remitly in the market, owning strategic marketing programs that build awareness, trust, and establish Remitly as a leading financial services brand in the region. You'll work closely with regional and global stakeholders, as well as agency partners, to deliver high‑impact, culturally relevant marketing campaigns that drive growth in line with business objectives.You WillAct as Remitly's marketing leader for the UAE, bringing deep cultural fluency across key diaspora audiences (e.g. IND, PAK, PHL) as well as white‑collar expat segments (e.g. GBR, USA, CAN, AUS)Define and lead an integrated marketing strategy spanning brand and performance‑led activity across channels such as ATL, influencers, community marketing, large‑scale events and sponsorships, and partner closely with our in‑house performance and digital marketing teamOwn and lead community and influencer marketing programs, including partnerships, ambassador strategies, sponsorships, events, and negotiationsPartner closely with local General Management, product, legal, and compliance teams to identify growth opportunities and translate these into clear marketing plans and agency briefsServe as the regional marketing lead within cross‑functional squads, representing the UAE in global planning and ensuring regional priorities are reflected in quarterly and annual plansBuild and scale marketing programs from 0–1, testing, iterating, and establishing repeatable playbooks across the UAEDefine success metrics and oversee measurement of brand and marketing performance in close partnership with marketing analytics and consumer insights teamsOwn, manage and optimise a multi‑million‑US‑dollar marketing budget to balance short‑term impact with long‑term brand buildingYou HaveMinimum 8–10 years of marketing experience in the UAE, with a strong understanding of the local media, agency, publisher landscape and operating in a regulated environment; experience in fintech, payments or similarly regulated categories (a bonus, not essential)A proven ability to launch and scale marketing programs in fast‑growth environmentsComfort operating as the sole in‑market marketing lead, acting as the voice of the UAE among regional and global leadership while collaborating closely with multinational teams across multiple time zonesExtensive experience planning and activating traditional media (e.g. OOH, radio, sponsorships) alongside digital channelsStrong experience across influencers, creators and community marketing, with a hands‑on mindset and comfort attending events during evenings or weekends when neededFluent in English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu a bonus, but not essentialOur BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife Insurance & Income ProtectionHousing AllowanceEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Commuter ReimbursementMental Health & Family Forming benefitsLearning & development benefitsOur Connected Work Culture: Driving Innovation, TogetherAt Remitly, we believe that true innovation sparks when we come together.
