MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER

A multinational engineering manufacturing company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to be based in their Abu Dhabi office.Successsful candidate would be responsible for managing all capital and process development projects: budget, technical objectives & timing, for managing the introduction of new products and changes in the workshop, for managing maintenance operations (plant site, buildings, equipment and related facilities) and implementing quality systems in the workshop.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESEnsure that all work is implemented in line with the Quality Systems and follows the Lean Principles throughout the whole process – Lean Champion.Effectively manage the Engineering Department in support of agreed business objectives.Ensure effective management of all capital projects and make sure they meet both business and technical objectives.Evaluate and initiate product and process development of existing processes to increase output, assure quality and reduce cost.Initiate method studies in order to evaluate and optimize output with focus on layout, routings, equipment, work organization and material flow.Explore new ideas and technology to evaluate the potential to improve products and processes, assure quality and reduce costEnsure effective management of the maintenance operation across the full plant ensuring maximum plant up time and integrity of equipment and buildings.Participate in team work activities in order to capture skills and perspectives across the business in order to drive good ideas and initiatives to a positive conclusionEnsure that all work carried out is in line with the various rules and regulations, Health Safety Environment, fire protection.Development of work instruction and statistical process control to ensure compliance with Quality standards and plantsMonitor the system and relationship with utility suppliers companies. To establish appropriate conditions for utilization.Ensure that QS are implemented. Lead a lean manufacturing practices, adapt 5S philosophy and perform cost reduction initiatives.QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDMaster’s degree in engineering, or equivalent through experienceMinimum 8 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, Lean Manufacturing and implementation is a MUSTHigh level of experience in Project management, people management, budgetary management and maintenance management.Knowledge of Business planning, Budgetary control and procurement.Languages: Excellent English communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
