<div><h3>Job Summary</h3><p>As a Manager in Trade Operations within Standard Chartered Bank's dynamic Dubai office, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank's strategic vision by embedding our core values and business principles in every client interaction. This role demands a commitment to providing a distinctly human touch in service delivery, appreciating the critical importance of client relationships at every phase of our business operations.</p><p>You will be responsible for fostering and sustaining robust partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication, prompt responses, and an unwavering focus on business objectives and compliance mandates. Special emphasis will be placed on delivering exemplary service to our Priority clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and with the highest standard of professionalism.</p><p>Your ownership of client transactions will be comprehensive, guaranteeing diligent oversight throughout every stage to uphold consistency and operational excellence. This role requires a proactive approach to managing transaction workflows, problem‑solving, and client engagement to reinforce the bank's reputation as a trusted trade finance partner in the market.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage and resolve client queries, complaints, and compliments sourced through multiple channels such as voice, email, online platforms, and internal communications, ensuring comprehensive case ownership from receipt to resolution.</li><li>Maintain clear and timely communication with both clients and internal departments to provide updates, resolutions, or necessary escalations, fostering transparency and trust.</li><li>Drive resolution initiatives within defined timelines to uphold service level agreements and maintain smooth transaction flows.</li><li>Collaborate closely with trade processing teams to address and resolve transaction issues expediently, promoting uninterrupted business operations.</li><li>Champion client empowerment by encouraging adoption of digital self‑service tools such as eAdvices, S2B, and Track‑It, contributing to efficiency and client autonomy.</li><li>Conduct regular client engagements, including educational sessions emphasizing digitisation benefits, analytical review of volumes and queries, and strategic discussions on disruption causes and solutions.</li><li>Uphold stringent confidentiality standards in managing client data and sensitive information in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.</li><li>Monitor and ensure timely action on all trade transaction queues, minimizing delays and maintaining smooth operations across country‑specific and global interfaces.</li></ul><h3>Skills And Experience</h3><ul><li>1‑2 years of experience in trade operations.</li><li>Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.</li><li>Profound understanding of ICC rules, local laws, and the legal and operational risks associated with trade finance.</li><li>Certifications such as Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) or Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) are highly desirable and considered advantageous.</li><li>Proven ability to manage complex client interactions and operational workflows with attention to detail and compliance.</li><li>Experience using relevant banking software and digital trade platforms to improve transactional efficiency.</li></ul><h3>About Standard Chartered</h3><p>At Standard Chartered, we pride ourselves on being a truly international bank that combines agility with scale, capable of delivering significant impact.
