Job Description
Job Description You are a highly motivated Global Tax Controller responsible for supporting tax compliance, reporting, and planning across multiple jurisdictions, including the US, Singapore, India, and the UK. Your role involves working on direct, indirect, and federal taxation, ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with audits, and supporting tax optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with direct, indirect, and federal tax regulations across US, UK, and Singapore and closely work with the consultant
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial standalone financial closure and consolidation process for multiple entities (IFRS, Ind AS, and IGAAP)
- Support GST/VAT, sales tax, withholding tax, and other indirect tax filings
- Implement tax optimization strategies to minimize global tax liabilities
- Research and analyze tax implications of business operations and transactions
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions under US GAAP/IFRS/IND As
- Maintain tax records and ensure timely submission of required filings
- Support internal and external tax audits by preparing required documentation
- Manage tax disputes, assessments, and queries from tax authorities
- Identify potential tax risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations across jurisdictions
- Prepare transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements
- Monitor cross-border transactions to ensure alignment with global tax policies
Qualifications Required:
- Extremely strong fundamentals in accounting and IFRS, US GAAP, Ind AS
- Strong knowledge of direct tax Taxation including TP, Direct Tax, GST, International Tax
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems (D365, Tally)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational corporation is a plus
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Good written, communication, and presentation skills
- Proactive and entrepreneurial traits; willingness to grow and learn on a daily basis
- Good interpersonal skills
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience (post qualification), Listed company or Big 4 experience
