Manager it server & storage technology

Develop IT strategy, plan, implement, maintain and manage Data Centre, Server and Storage Systems and technologies that enable all IT services required for reliable and safe operations at HIA. Secure the Server and Storage infrastructure including data against internal and external malicious threats and attacks. Oversee the architecture, design, capacity management and supplier management of Server and Storage infrastructure to meet current business needs and future airport growth. Ensure the highest possible availability through redundant architecture and design while optimizing costs through standardization, scalability and optimal usage. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop the medium to long term IT strategy for the Server and Storage technologies at HIA, which include: Virtualization, Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), Server hardware with Operating system, SAN & NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, Cloud (Public, Private and Hybrid), etc.Accountable for research on emerging industry trends and technologies for Server, Storage and Data protection, and to recommend proposals for their application at MATAR to achieve tangible benefits, improve passenger experience and safeguard company's information assets and IT infrastructure.Oversee the professional and efficient system administration, operations, documentation, maintenance, and support of IT systems managed by MATAR IT, ensuring controlled access to production environments in compliance with established Identity and Access Management policies.Establish and govern performance objectives for Server and Storage functions, supported by performance management and development plans to ensure sustained productivity and a high performance culture.Provide technical consultancy and guidance to the team members and other technical teams.Proactively monitor infrastructure trends and initiate design updates and upgrades to prevent any adverse impact on service availability and performance.Develop deployment standards based on the Tiering of the applications. Review existing and new application architecture and ensure that the applications are deployed as per the Tier standards.Accountable for hardening and optimal performance of the IT systems by ensuring all security and other operating system patches, supplier provided latest software/firmware versions/patches are promptly identified, reviewed and assessed for their impact on the relevant environment and are fully tested and implemented where needed.Ensure all Server and Storage processes and procedures are documented, implemented and adhered to in accordance with corporate IT policies and ISO20000 & ISO 27001 standards for MATAR IT Services.Ensures contract ownership and execution; conduct periodic service review meetings and maintaining professional relationship with external suppliers for assigned IT systems and services; and to ensure optimized usage of licenses.Prepares Annual budget for assigned IT Systems and services based on business and operational requirements capacity planning, adoption of new technology and addressing obsolescence.Perform additional duties related to the role as assigned by the Head of Department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years of experience in a senior/lead or manager role with a strong focus on Data Centre, Server, and Storage technologies.Certifications - Relevant professional certifications such as VMWare, Nutanix, Red Hat, Microsoft Azure etc.Experience in designing and implementing Server and Storage technologies and solutions in large scale enterprise environment.Good Knowledge of disaster recovery (DR) design, RPO/RTO with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.Experience in Cloud architectures, platforms and Hybrid cloud integration.Relevant technology and data centre certifications.Experience in designing and implementing Server and Storage solutions.Knowledge across network, data centre, virtualization, cloud, backup and storage.Experience with IBM FS9200, HP 3 PAR, IBM V7000, DS8800, HP MSA, IBM SVC or equivalent.Experience administering Brocade SAN Directors or equivalent.Experience with data protection software (IBM Tivoli, HP Data Protector, Symantec Net Backup).ITIL-based service delivery processes; ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 standards.
