Job Description As a Manager, Enterprise Risk Analytics at Synchrony, your primary role will involve working within the Enterprise Risk Analytics team. Your responsibilities will include handling large datasets, conducting in-depth analysis, ensuring data validation, and maintaining oversight of data and analytical outputs. You will collaborate with stakeholders at various levels, including senior leaders, to drive process improvements and actions based on analytics. Your focus will be on leveraging analytics and innovation to develop data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform deep-dive analysis on large, complex datasets with a detail-oriented approach
- Validate data and provide oversight of data, code, and outputs to maintain quality control
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive analytics-based process improvements and insights
- Drive efficiency and risk-reduction outcomes through automation, visualization, and actionable insights
- Conduct data-driven oversight of end-to-end processes to ensure objectives, risks, and controls are accurately linked
- Translate analysis into clear data storytelling and recommend actions based on insights
- Prepare and present key insights, outcomes, and progress updates to stakeholders and regulators
- Operate with end-to-end ownership and holistic thinking, proactively identifying gaps and driving solutions to completion
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors Degree with 2-4 years experience in an analytics role; or 4-6+ years experience in an analytics role in lieu of a bachelors degree
- 2+ years hands-on experience with SAS and SQL
- Working knowledge of Python and AWS for supporting evolving analytics and automation needs
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver analytical solutions for business problems
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to manage multiple projects, organize workflow, and timelines
- Experience in automation in a command-line environment, SAS, or Python
- Familiarity with Tableau or other Visual Analytics tools such as PowerBI or SAS VIYA
- Working knowledge and experience with GenAI in workspace
- Intermediate Excel skill set
In this role, you will be eligible for Enhanced Flexibility offered by Synchrony India, requiring availability between 06:00 AM Eastern Time 11:30 AM Eastern Time for meetings with India and US teams. You will have the option to work from home or one of the Regional Engagement Hubs in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, or Delhi/NCR. Occasional travel to Hyderabad or the Regional Engagement Hubs may be required for in-person engagement activities.
