Maintenance supervisor – steel / galvanizing plant

We are seeking an experiencedMaintenance Supervisorwith a strong background insteel fabrication, galvanizing lines, and heavy industrial equipmentto lead maintenance operations within our galvanizing plant.This role is critical in ensuringcontinuous plant operations, minimal downtime, and optimal performance of galvanizing and metal processing equipment.Key Responsibilities (Steel / Galvanizing Focus)Plan and executepreventive maintenancefor galvanizing plant equipment including:Galvanizing baths and kettlesOverhead cranes and material handling systemsAcid pickling lines and chemical tanksDrying ovens and flux systemsTroubleshoot and resolvemechanical and electrical breakdownsin:Steel processing linesPumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyorsSupervise maintenance ofheavy-duty industrial machineryused in steel/metal operationsEnsure proper functioning of:Hydraulic and pneumatic systemsLifting equipment and hoistsMaintain and updateCMMS recordsfor all plant equipmentMonitor and managespare parts inventory(motors, bearings, chains, etc.)Coordinate with production to scheduleplanned shutdowns with minimal disruptionConductroot cause analysison recurring equipment failuresEnsure compliance with:OEM maintenance standardsIndustrial safety regulationsLOTO proceduresduring maintenanceLiaise with external vendors forspecialized repairs and AMC contractsSkillsQualificationsDiploma or Degree inMechanical or Electrical EngineeringMinimum8–10 years of experience in steel, galvanizing, fabrication, or heavy industrial plantsStrong knowledge of:Galvanizing processesHeavy equipment maintenancePreventive maintenance systemsHands-on experience in:Breakdown troubleshootingCMMS systemsMaintenance planningSolid understanding ofindustrial safety standards and audits
