MAINTENANCE PLANNING ENGINEER MECHANICAL M/FPosition: Maintenance Planning Engineer – Mechanical, M/F.Contract type: Fixed‑term (5 years).Hours: Full time.Location: Doha, Qatar.OverviewWe are seeking a Maintenance Planning Engineer to carry out the planning of daily maintenance activities with the prime responsibility to ensure right‑first‑time job performance and maximize equipment reliability while improving tool time and work quality.ResponsibilitiesPlan daily maintenance activities, ensuring right‑first‑time performance to maximize equipment reliability.Anticipate and eliminate potential delays by coordinating labor, non‑labor resources, materials and services.Execute systematic, efficient and economical planning with a forecast‑based maintenance approach.Independently develop cost and time estimates to meet budgets and schedules.Use SAP Maintenance module (preferably SAP S4‑HANA) for order planning, purchase requisition, service entry sheets, call‑off orders, service orders and master data creation, updating and deletion.Establish, maintain and improve maintenance plans within the area of responsibility.Develop preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.Prepare detailed activity breakdowns and resource estimates for daily new work requests from production.Create work packs for each work order.Coordinate and review work plans, evaluate planned work, methods and procedures, and oversee spare parts inventory.Participate in maintenance contract handling: scope development, specifications, procurement process, technical evaluation and support for management approval.Coordinate with contractors to supply manpower and/or services during daily work order planning.Verify and process contractor invoices.Communicate and coordinate with end‑users to secure spares and materials for scheduled activities; provide feedback to MRP.Update ERP item master with specifications, bill of materials, spare parts criticality and new item codes.Conduct periodic inventory reviews and adjust buffer stock levels in coordination with end‑users.Coordinate with Supply Chain and contractors for procurement of spares to ensure availability.QualificationsMinimum 10 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Fertilizer industry.Hands‑on experience with the Work Order part of the EAM (Enterprise Asset Maintenance) module of SAP.Experience in maintenance service contracts.Experience in field maintenance.Experience in maintenance planning.Experience in material procurement.Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Mechanical.Fluent in English, written and verbal communication.Good interpersonal and organizational skills; computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office.Fit to work (required authorisation).What We OfferLong‑term contract with attractive daily rate, insurance coverage, transportation and expat standard accommodation.Location and Working ConditionsDoha, Qatar.
