We are looking for a competent Maintenance Engineer to support all company projects and ensure efficient maintenance of plant, machinery, and vehicles.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport all company projects including Ship Repair, Oil & Gas, Central Projects, Rig Repair, and internal projects.Receive instructions from PMV Superintendent, assess yard requirements, estimate resources, and schedule activities within budget.Assign and monitor tasks for Foreman and Leadman to ensure timely completion.Coordinate with Planning/Project teams to manage allocated man-hours and achieve productivity targets.Guide teams on toolbox talks and maintain high standards of housekeeping and work culture.Maintain daily progress reports and update Project/Planning teams during review meetings.Monitor productivity and elevate resource challenges to PMV Superintendent.Arrange equipment/tools through Purchase Requests (PR) based on departmental requirements.Review enquiries from Commercial Department and provide technical input for quotations.Manage maintenance and proper handling of tools and equipment received from stores.Ensure regular inspection and preventive maintenance of yard equipment, machinery, buildings, vehicles, and plant.Prepare and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and submit periodic breakdown reports.Maintain optimal spare parts inventory for critical equipment.Oversee maintenance and records of yard vehicles including compliance and annual inspections.Coordinate hiring/off-hiring of equipment, tools, and machinery as per project requirements.Manage plant systems including electrical, HVAC, water, CCTV, and telecommunications.Maintain records and support internal and external audits related to PMV department.Support project activities requiring carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical services.Ensure housekeeping for office, canteen, and yard facilities through manpower coordination.Support subcontractors for yard development, civil works, and infrastructure projects.Assist in waste management and disposal of scrap materials.Support calibration of equipment and lifting gear in coordination with stores.Prepare production reports and provide feedback to Operations Manager and Management.Coordinate with departments for operational efficiency of PMV services.Manage departmental administration including attendance, leave, training, and appraisals.Participate in incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective actions.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Diploma / Graduate Engineer / Equivalent technical qualificationExperience: 8–15 years of relevant experience in maintenance within oil & gas, marine, or heavy industryTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of plant, machinery, and vehicle maintenanceExperience in preventive and breakdown maintenance systemsFamiliarity with resource planning and procurement processesCertifications: Professional training certifications preferredSoftware: Proficient in MS OfficeLanguages: Fluency in English is mandatoryCompetencies:Accountability and professional integrityStrong communication and leadership skillsProblem-solving and initiativeAdaptability and teamworkQHSE awarenessWhy Join Us?Be part of a leading marine and engineering organization in the UAEWork across diverse and high-impact projects in oil & gas and marine sectorsOpportunity to lead and optimize maintenance operationsStrong safety culture and structured processesCollaborative work environment with career growth opportunitiesAbout the TeamAli & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) was established in 2009 with the aim of catering to the Marine and Oil & Gas Industry in the UAE.
