As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility's systems and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic environment while contributing to the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.Monitor, inspect, maintain, and repair building services and equipment, including HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, generators, domestic water systems, pumps, elevators, lighting, and plumbingImplement and execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs to ensure systems operate efficiently, consistently, and safelyRespond promptly to engineering and guest service requests, minimizing downtime and coordinating urgent repairsMaintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, complete shift handover reports, and update maintenance logbooks and checklistsMonitor energy consumption and assist in implementing energy‑saving and sustainability initiativesCoordinate with other departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B, Security) to support guest operations and resolve issues quicklyConduct regular inspections of guest floors, plant rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house to verify safe and appropriate conditionsEnsure all systems and maintenance practices comply with local regulations and the facility's operational standardsMaintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usageAssist in training or guiding junior engineers/technicians as neededProvide clear and detailed handover information to the next shift, documenting all outstanding tasks, pending work, and critical issuesQualificationsDegree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical fieldMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in an engineering/maintenance role within a 4- or 5-star hotel, resort, or large facilityStrong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, pumps, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building servicesProficiency in reading technical drawings/schematics and using maintenance software/systemsExcellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageousFamiliarity with local regulations related to fire safety, health and safety, and mechanical/electrical codesStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently during shiftsExperience with energy management and sustainability practices in facility operationsThorough understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and best practicesFlexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidaysAbility to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and handle urgent breakdown situations effectivelyStrong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reportingCollaborative mindset and customer‑focused approach to maintenance and problem‑solvingAdditional InformationAdditional Language is an added advantage.Our commitment to Diversity & InclusionWe are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.What we offerBy joining Accor, every chapter of your story is yours to write and together we can imagine tomorrow's hospitality.
