Logistics Coordinator, UAE Direct Imports

Role OverviewAs a Direct Imports Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and coordinating international shipments from origin to final delivery at Amazon Fulfillment Centers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and track Direct Imports shipments across all transportation legs (origin port to port destination and final mile delivery)Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including freight forwarders, customs brokers, trade compliance teams and fulfillment centersIdentify and resolve shipment issues proactively to minimize delays and ensure customer commitmentsMaintain and analyze key performance metrics for Direct Imports operationsCreate and distribute regular reports on critical DI metrics to leadershipImplement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencyEnsure compliance with international shipping regulations and Amazon's standardsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related fieldExperience in freight forwarding or logistics operations specifically in GCCStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management toolsFluent in English (written and verbal)Experience in managing multiple shipments simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environmentExperience with international shipping and customs proceduresKnowledge of transportation management systemsPrevious experience in e‑commerce or retail logisticsUnderstanding of import/export documentation requirementsSIX Sigma or similar process improvement certificationExperience with SQL or other database management toolsOur inclusive cultureOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
