Livestock specialist vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAEOverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock and managing all aspects of their care. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, as the well-being of our animals is a top priority.ResponsibilitiesConduct regular health checks on all livestock to ensure they are in good conditionProvide necessary medical treatments and vaccinations to prevent diseasesMonitor feed and water intake to ensure proper nutrition for the animalsManage breeding programs and assist with births as neededMaintain clean and sanitary living conditions for the livestockMonitor behavior and identify any signs of distress or illness in the animalsOperate machinery and equipment for feeding, watering, and cleaning of animal enclosuresKeep accurate records of livestock health, breeding, and production dataCoordinate with veterinarians for specialized care or treatments when necessaryQualificationsBachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related field preferredMinimum 3 years of experience working with livestockExperience with breeding programs and assisting with birthsKnowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and health care best practicesAbility to operate machinery and equipment used in caring for livestockStrong communication skills both written and verbalAttention to detail and ability to keep accurate recordsWorking ConditionsThis position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The candidate must be comfortable working around large animals.
