The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a light vehicle, such as a car or van, with the goal of safely transporting people and goods from one place to another.Job DescriptionThe Light Driver will be responsible for safely operating a light vehicle and delivering goods or people to their destination on schedule. They will ensure that all safety regulations are followed and that all paperwork is completed accurately. They must also be able to read maps, plan routes, and follow directions for efficient delivery of goods or people. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and the ability to remain alert while driving long distances.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive a light vehicle safely from one place to another as directed by supervisorFollow all traffic laws and road regulations at all timesEnsure cargo is secure before departing on each journeyInspect vehicles before each journey for mechanical issuesLoad and unload cargo as necessary when making deliveriesMaintain accurate records regarding vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, etc.Report any defects or irregularities found during the course of the journeyRemain alert while driving long distancesQualificationsPrevious experience with driving light vehicles requiredAbility to read maps, plan routes, and follow directionsKnowledge of local roads preferredGood communication skills in English preferredClean driving record with valid driver’s license requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs requiredMust be willing to work flexible hours when necessarySalary1100 AED#J-18808-Ljbffr
