The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, approved lifting procedures, and project requirements while minimizing risks associated with lifting activities.Key ResponsibilitiesTake overall responsibility for the planning, supervision, and safe execution of lifting operations on sitePrepare and review lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) for all lifting activitiesEnsure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, safety standards, and legal requirementsInterpret crane load charts and perform accurate load calculations to determine safe lifting capacitiesCoordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site teams to ensure effective communication and safe work practicesConduct pre-lift briefings (toolbox talks) to ensure all personnel understand the lifting plan and associated risksMonitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with approved lifting plans and intervene when unsafe practices are observedVerify that all lifting equipment and accessories are certified, inspected, and fit for useEnsure proper selection and use of lifting gear in accordance with load requirementsMaintain records of lifting activities, inspections, and safety documentationReport incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective actionsLiaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders regarding lifting activities when requiredWhat do we need from youMust hold a valid LEEA Appointed Person certificationMinimum 4–5 years of proven experience in lifting operations within construction or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and crane operationsDemonstrated ability to prepare lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statementsIn-depth understanding of crane load charts, load calculations, and safe lifting techniquesFamiliar with UAE safety regulations and international lifting standardsGood communication and coordination skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple lifting activities simultaneouslyWhat's in it for you?Strong safety awareness and risk management skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving abilityLeadership and team coordinationDecision-making under operational constraintsEffective communication skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
