OverviewLibrarian - English Speaking (Egyptian) - Sharjah, UAEOur library in Sharjah, UAE is seeking an experienced Librarian who is fluent in English and holds Egyptian nationality. You will be responsible for managing the library's resources and providing assistance to students and staff members.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain library collections by selecting, cataloguing, and classifying books and other materialsAssist students with finding books, reference materials, and online resourcesProvide research assistance to students and staff membersOrganize library events such as book clubs or author talksPromote the library\'s resources and services to increase usage among studentsHandle the circulation of materials by checking books in/out, collecting fines, and maintaining accurate recordsTrain and supervise student workers or volunteers in daily tasks such as shelving books or processing new materialsMaintain the physical appearance of the library by shelving books, organizing displays, and ensuring cleanlinessRequirementsBachelor\'s degree in Library Science or a related fieldPrevious experience working as a librarian or in a similar roleFluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)Egyptian nationality preferredFamiliarity with library systems and databasesExcellent communication skills with the ability to assist diverse individualsAbility to multitask and work independentlyStrong organizational skillsFlexibility to work some evenings/weekends for special eventsBenefitsCompetitive salaryAccommodation providedOwn visa sponsorship#J-18808-Ljbffr
