Librarian

Librarian - Khawr Fakkan, UAEWe are currently seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Khawr Fakkan, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's resources, including books, periodicals, and electronic media.Responsibilities:- Organize and classify library materials using appropriate cataloging systems- Develop and implement library policies and procedures- Assist patrons in locating materials and provide reference services- Acquire new materials for the library collection through purchases or donations- Manage the library budget and keep records of expenditures- Create displays and programs to promote the use of the library's resources- Train staff members on how to use library resources effectively- Maintain the physical organization of the library, including shelving books and processing returns- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom instruction through resource selection and curriculum developmentRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian or in a similar role- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and online databases- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)- Biometric passport or valid work visa for UAEThis is a contract position with a salary of 1700$ per month.
