The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library records as well as providing information and support to library patrons.Key responsibilitiesOrganizing, cataloging and maintaining library materialsAssisting patrons with locating resources or utilizing library servicesResponding to patron inquiries regarding library policies or proceduresStaying up-to-date on new developments in the field, including current trends in literatureDeveloping creative programming such as book clubs or author talksDeveloping reader’s advisory services to assist patrons with finding reading materials that meet their interests or needsPreparing reports on circulation statistics or other related dataSupervising volunteers in performing their dutiesMaintaining accurate records such as circulation logs, overdue materials lists, etc.Ensuring compliance with copyright laws when creating digital content for the library’s website or social media outletsQualifications and requirementsAt least one year of experience working in a library settingKnowledge of library services, procedures and systemsAbility to communicate effectively with patrons of all ages and backgroundsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of copyright lawsCompensation and applicationSalary: 1000 AED per month.
