OverviewLibrarian for English-Speaking Library in Musaffah, UAE. We are currently hiring a qualified Librarian for our English-speaking library located in the bustling city of Musaffah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the library and providing high-quality services to our diverse community of patrons.ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the libraryManage circulation and cataloging systems, including checking materials in and out, shelving books, and updating recordsDevelop and implement engaging programs and events to promote literacy and educationProvide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and locating materialsCollaborate with teachers and educators to support their curriculum needsMaintain an organized collection by selecting, ordering, and weeding materials as neededTrain other staff members on library procedures and best practicesRequirementsBachelor\'s degree in Library Science or related fieldMinimum of 2 years experience working in a library settingExcellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)Knowledge of cataloging systems such as MARC or Dewey Decimal ClassificationExperience planning programs or events preferredAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamMust be able to lift up to 30 poundsBenefitsCompetitive salary starting at $1400 USD per monthFree visa sponsorship provided by the companyComplimentary flight ticket upon successful completion of probation periodOpportunity for growth within a dynamic organizationNote: This position is open to Pakistani nationals with fluency in English.
