The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, overseeing and directing library activities, and providing research assistance to patrons. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience as a librarian and is open to both citizens and immigrants.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the library by organizing resources, setting policies, and managing staffOversee all library activities, such as book selection, cataloging, circulation, interlibrary loan services, reference services, seminars and lecturesDevelop new initiatives for improving library servicesProvide research assistance to patrons by helping them locate books or other materials in the library collectionTeach patrons how to use online databases to find informationMaintain inventory of books and other resourcesPromote the use of the library through outreach programsMaintain accurate records related to library usageQualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field required1+ years of experience as a librarian or in a similar roleStrong organizational and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of cataloging methods and reference toolsSalary1300 AED#J-18808-Ljbffr
