OverviewLibrarian job vacancy in Ras-al-Khaimah UAE for foreignersLibrarian Job Opening in Ras-al-KhaimahWe are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Ras-al-Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services, including acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, reference, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work with diverse audiences.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the library.Set up circulation systems and keep track of all books and items loaned out.Create catalogs and indexes of library materials.Research new materials for acquisition into the library collection.Help patrons locate information using print resources, electronic databases, and the Internet.Stay up to date on library trends, best practices, and new technologies related to libraries.Assist patrons with digital literacy issues such as navigating websites or using computers or other devices.Maintain a clean environment for patrons to use the library resources comfortably.Develop programs such as book clubs or reading circles to engage patrons in the library’s collections.SalarySalary: 1600 AED per month (Immigrants considered).RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field; Master’s degree preferredExperience working in a library setting; prior experience in an academic setting is a plusKnowledge of library software programs such as Koha ILS or Sierra ILS is preferredFluent English language proficiencyAbility to multi-task efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail#J-18808-Ljbffr
