OverviewLibrarian job vacancy in Zayed City UAE for foreignersJob Title: LibrarianLocation: Zayed CitySalary: 1100Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Librarian to join our team in Zayed City. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, which includes organizing and cataloging books, assisting patrons with reference inquiries, and teaching patrons how to use the library's resources.The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for literature and a strong knowledge of research techniques. They should also be comfortable using modern technology such as computers and databases, as well as traditional library systems. The librarian must also be able to work independently and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesOrganize, catalog, index and store materials including books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, magazines, newspapers etc.Provide research assistance to patrons by answering reference inquiries both in person and over the phone.Teach patrons how to use the library's resources such as online databases or electronic catalogs.Manage library materials such as checking out or returning items, collecting fines or issuing replacement cards.Create new programs or services to enhance library usage or improve customer service.Maintain statistics on usage of all library materials for reporting purposes.Ensure that library is kept clean and organized at all times.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required; equivalent experience may be considered.Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required; equivalent experience may be considered.Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail; ability to multitask efficiently while adhering to deadlines.Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; excellent customer service skills are essential.We are willing to consider foreign applicants for this position – please specify your nationality when applying for this role if applicable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
