The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, organizing resources and providing reference services to patrons.ResponsibilitiesManage the library by cataloging new material, organizing existing resources, and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of resources.Provide reference services to patrons by retrieving materials from shelves, providing assistance with research projects, and helping patrons locate material within the library.Create online databases for patrons to access information quickly and easily.Maintain records for circulation statistics as well as overdue materials.Develop promotional material such as brochures and flyers for events held at the library.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field2+ years of experience in a library settingKnowledge of current trends and technologies in library scienceStrong organizational and communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to move around the library with easeBenefitsThis position offers an attractive salary of 900 AED per month plus other benefits including health insurance coverage and a great working environment.
