Librarian

Librarian (Indian Nationals)We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing reference services to library users, and promoting library resources and programs. This is a contract position without accommodation, open to Indian nationals with proficiency in English language.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain the library collection, including selection, acquisition, cataloging and classification of materials- Provide reference and research assistance to library users in person and online- Plan and conduct information literacy sessions for students and faculty- Promote library resources through various means such as displays, social media, and presentations- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy skills into curriculum- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics- Stay updated on trends in the field of librarianship and implement best practicesRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a library setting- Strong knowledge of current library practices, procedures, and technologies- Excellent communication skills in English- Proficient in using library management systems- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse groups- Understanding of information literacy concepts- Cultural sensitivity towards the diverse student populationThis is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about providing quality library services.
