Job Description

The Role / Responsibilities:A solution specialist plays a crucial role in driving the presales activities as part of the sales lifecycle and works in conjunction with frontline sales teams to help our customers decode risk and unlock opportunity. Solutions specialists are responsible for understanding client workflows and aligning Moodys solutions to meet their needs, as well as demonstrating and showing the value of Moodys solutions through proofs‑of‑concept demos and evaluations.This position requires a deep understanding of Moodys’ extensive product offerings and the specific business concerns facing our clients. The role involves direct engagement with clients’ product teams and sales teams, requiring a blend of technical proficiency, business acumen and interpersonal skills.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in‑depth analyses of client workflows and business requirements to identify pain points and areas for improvementMap Moodys solutions to client needs, ensuring a deep understanding of how these solutions can address specific business challenges while demonstrating subject‑matter expertiseRespond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and/or Requests for Proposal (RFPs)Conduct solution presentations, demonstrations and/or proofs‑of‑conceptSupport sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the presales process from qualification to solution alignmentAdvise clients and internal stakeholders on existing and upcoming banking regulatory frameworks across the region such as, but not limited to, Basel III Capital/Liquidity, IRRBB, ICAAP, IFRS 9, etc.Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to effectively communicate how our solutions can address emerging challengesAct as a bridge between clients and product teams, conveying feedback and insights that can inform product enhancements and innovationParticipate in product roadmap discussions, advocating for features and improvements that align with client needsQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, IT or a related disciplineMinimum of 7 years relevant experienceGood overall understanding of the banking industry, particularly the regulatory risk spaceExcellent understanding of key banking regulatory frameworks across the region such as, but not limited to, Basel III Capital/Liquidity, IRRBB, ICAAP, IFRS 9, etc.Strategic and analytical problem‑solving mindset with the sales acumen to win new customersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently and hands‑on with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a high‑pressure, deadline‑oriented environmentAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to travel up to 30 percentPrior experience in presales or a similar role would be highly desirable and a plusFamiliarity with software architecture programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, etc.) and Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) concepts would be desirable and a plusAdditional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA and other professional risk and finance qualifications would be an advantage#LIER1Moodys is an equal‑opportunity employer.
