Job Description

Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ). Actively encourages and leads the HZI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirementsEnsures that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that in consultation with site management and HSE team HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicableEnsures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMSIs responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control and for stopping work where this might be compromisedEnsures works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract and conform with project time and budget requirementsActs as the principal contact in the coordination of all scaffolding equipment on siteChairs coordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure the minimum hindrance to the construction workEnsures all scaffolding operations are planned organised and undertaken by competent personsEnsures that the scaffolding equipment is positioned and installed so as to minimise any risks e. g. from the load falling or striking peopleEnsures that scaffolding equipment is suitable for the proposed use and is marked with any appropriate information to be taken its safe use into accountEnsures that scaffolding equipment and scaffolding accessories are subject to a periodic thorough examination to confirm they are fit for purposeDesigns and preplans the scaffold including weight limitations scaffold type fall protection tieoffs supports etc.Oversees the erection of the scaffoldCarries out final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for useInspects and documents the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safelyInspects scaffolds after changes / alterations have been madeOversees and inspects of mobile scaffoldsTrains other competent persons scaffold erectors and usersDelivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projectsKeeps the Site Manager informed of all siterelated activitiesQualifications :CISRS Advanced scaffolding inspection1 Day temporary works accredited training courseExperience in a similar role on large construction projectsKnowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirementsSite Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalentValid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) Safepass (ROI) CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalentGood working knowledge of Microsoft suite applicationsAdditional Information :Solution orientatedGood forward plannerGood communicatorExcellent motivational and leadership skillsAbility to present ideas effectivelyAble to evaluate ideas of othersNegotiation skillsGood command of English other languages an advantageFor HR agencies: Please note that we do not accept applications coming from agencies.
