Lead Project Manager

Job Description SummaryWe are seeking for highly skilled Project Manager with experience in grid automation projects to lead complex projects in UAE and other Gulf Countries. The ideal candidate will have strong background in project management power grid system and automation technology managing crossfunctional teams & stakeholders to deliver complex projects on time within budget and scope. The project manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects in different phases from planning engineering delivery till commissioning and close out.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead Projects in accordance with the Business Unit guidelines and policies with the objective of achieving the Projects turnover operating income Sales Billing and cash targets.Ensure on time delivery of Grid Automation (GA) projects within GA framework and GE company value /Ethics charter.Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency customer satisfaction and quality of workMaintain comprehensive documents & records of projects executed.Ensure commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract with clear feedback through consistent customer interaction e.g. communication (phone email etc. and customer meetings periodic reviews etc.Prepare reports using internal tools such as MPR Primavera etc.Compliance / improvement of the Companys Quality & EHS policy.Proactively identify projects risks develop mitigation strategies and solve problems.Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel both internal and subcontracted.Required QualificationsDegree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related disciplineProficiency in English is a must.Minimum 8 year working experience in Grid Automation Project.PMP qualification from an accredited institutionPrevious Experience in executing complex projects related to DEWA and TRANSCO/TAQA.Have a working knowledge of commercial contractual conditions ideally in electrical power system or associate industries.Desired CharacteristicsMasters in engineering or business is an advantage but not compulsoryArabic speaking is an advantageExperience of managing projects for protection and control systems is a distinct advantage.Demonstrated ability to read / interpret tender / contract documentation schematics procedures and policy guidelines.Ability to define problems collect relevant data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and to meet strict deadlines whilst working in a teamExcellent leadership and stake holder management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAccountable: You build trust and credibility by acting with integrity and communicating with transparency.
