Job Description

ResponsibilitiesIdentify the resources and set up the team of engineers and consultants required to successfully achieve the project objectives within the area of responsibility. Receive assignment of project from Senior Manager Project; discuss and agree parameters and technical details; establish timelines and schedules and draw up appropriate procedures to implement the project.Provide expert guidance and technical support by selecting the cost‑effective and sound engineering solutions required by the project while embedding in the designs the required safety and quality standards. Monitor and guide contractors to ensure project execution and target delivery dates are achieved as per the contract agreement.Manage the development of detailed engineering design and drawings, materials specifications, detailed scope of work, technical specifications, and bill of quantities, for approved projects as directed by superior in liaison with the project support team, to support effective project management.Establish specifications, standards, and procedures for executing the desired project particularly with respect to planning, scheduling and cost controlling in liaison with the Project Support team and secure agreement from higher levels of supervision to proceed with implementation.Guide the project team in the best corrective actions for the raised areas of concerns as a result of the day‑to‑day Project activities, technical and quality aspects.Lead the preparation and implementation of detailed plans for assigned projects in order to achieve the company agreed objectives. Define milestones, major activities, relationships between activities, and maintain budget estimates to achieve target dates as agreed with consultants.Monitor the execution of contracts by the contractors and ensure that they are completed on time, within budget and according to the defined quality requirements through progress reports, meetings and vendor/site visits.Review and recommend the development of cost estimates and schedules for management endorsement in liaison with the costing team. Monitor the implementation of the total budget, schedule and quality at various stages of the project execution to ensure adherence to the overall approved plan.Update tracking of project budgets, determine cash flow of construction works and monitor financial performance of projects to ensure best quality of work is provided within cost constraints, while reporting any non‑conformances proactively to Senior Manager Project to facilitate effective management of resources.Participate in the evaluation of engineering, procurement and construction tenders with respect to compliance schedules and quality requirements to ensure the evaluation is consistent and timely.Responsible for effective execution of SIL (Safety Integrity Level) target assignment and Loop Verification processes (calculations and define loop architecture, issuance, and approval of reports) through being consulted by the respective engineers and teams.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Educational Requirements / Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized institution or university.A professional qualification in Project Management from a globally recognized institute, such as PMP, is preferred.Minimum Experience:8 years total relevant work experience in project engineering management in a similar large manufacturing facility in the energy sector with at least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing supervisory responsibilities.Interested candidates may share their updated resume to :(email protected)#J-18808-Ljbffr
