Lead Preschool Teacher

OverviewPosition and Primary Function: Preschool Teacher who is in charge of operating DMCC Preschool program.Hours To Be Worked: 5 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Limited summer work is also required as described below.Compensation: NegotiableReports To: The DMCC Pastor on a weekly basis, when school is in session, and as needed between terms. Meets with the Preschool Committee bi-monthly. Meets with the General Board when requested.Qualifications:Loves to teach children of Preschool agePossesses a positive Christian faithHas a strong work ethicHigh school education or equivalentCompletion of satisfactory background checkAdministrative DutiesPublish/edit materials for Preschool registrationPrepare/distribute newsletters and class calendarsArrange for class pictures and class holiday partiesProvide input on annual Preschool budgetPrepare/send letters and medical forms to Preschoolers in JulyPrepare Graduation and Open House at the end of the yearSetting up/taking down for special eventsCleaning/organizing closets and classroom in the summerPrepare/attend Preschool meetingsPrepare invitations and other materials for Open House/Get Acquainted Day in AugustPrepare newspaper articles as neededPrepare purchase order for items purchasedTeaching DutiesEvaluate Preschoolers in the fall and springConduct parent conferences in springPrepare/conduct units of study daily following class calendarsContinually research new educational curriculum and learning centersPlan/conduct field trips for Preschoolers#J-18808-Ljbffr
