<div><h3>Overview</h3><p><b>Wind Turbine Generator Specialist - Renewables</b>- The Wind Turbine Specialist serves as the SME for wind turbine technology and its integration within utility-scale wind projects. The role ensures that the selection, procurement, installation, operation and maintenance of wind turbines are carried out in a technically sound, safe, cost-effective, and reliable manner. This position bridges the gap between engineering design, OEM expertise, site execution, and performance management, with the goal of maximizing turbine reliability, energy yield, and lifecycle value.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Technical Expertise</li><li>Strong knowledge in wind turbine technology and its design for large-scale utility-connected wind farms</li><li>Expertise in turbine types, rotor aerodynamics, structural mechanics&subsystems</li><li>Deep knowledge in wind resource assessment&correlation to select turbine class&micro-siting with respect to site conditions</li><li>Expertise in power curve verification of various types of machines ranging 5MW and above from various reputed OEMs</li><li>Knowledge in grid compliance requirements, generator&power converter designs, turbine transformer design, electrical protection&controls</li><li>Deep knowledge in global standards requirements covering IEC, local regulations&certifications from DNV-GL, TUV, UL</li><li>Knowledge in HSE standards like OSHA, ISO, Fire safety etc.</li><li>Expertise in analysis of vibration, noise, thermal management, SCADA alarm interpretation</li><li>Deep knowledge in reliability engineering covering MTBF/MTTR calculations, FMEA, RCA analysis</li><li>Knowledge in performance analysis, availability&loss estimations</li><li>Expertise in installation of wind turbine components like blades, nacelle, tower and other subsystems</li><li>Design validation of structural design, safety like braking system, fail-safe system, emergency stop mechanism, logistics&transport feasibilities</li><li>Technical review of subsystems like rotor, blades, drivetrain, generator&power electronic converters, yaw&pitch systems, tower&foundation interface</li><li>Support negotiations with OEMs by reviewing TSA, LTSA, and warranty terms</li><li>Provide specialized guidance during turbine installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing</li><li>Act as a first-line technical authority for troubleshooting turbine faults, failures, or recurrent reliability issues</li><li>Drive root cause analysis (RCA) of major component failures and define corrective actions</li><li>Support predictive maintenance strategies using CMS, SCADA alarm analysis, vibration monitoring, and oil analysis</li><li>Ensure turbines operate within designed parameters to maximize availability, generation yield, and reliability</li></ul><h3>Education&Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy</li><li>12+ years of experience in wind turbine and its subsystem</li><li>Proven experience with grid compliance, turbine control, and hybrid plant integration</li><li>Strong knowledge in simulation tools related like WAsP, WindPro, WindFarmer, CFD tools</li></ul><h3>Behavioral Skills</h3><ul><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability</li><li>Team mentoring and collaboration across functions</li><li>Vendor evaluation&stakeholder communication</li><li>Multitasking and on-time delivery</li><li>Strong communication with ability to articulate his/her view point and convince the stakeholders on the solution proposed</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
