As a result our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.</p><h3>Lead Cost Manager – Job Description</h3><p>Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients in Real Estate / Infrastructure, we are currently recruiting a Lead Cost Manager with proven experience to join our Riyadh, Saudi Arabia based team.</p><p>The ideal applicant will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying, ideally gained through the delivery of complex infrastructure / real estate projects. Ideally you will have worked within a professional consultancy before, but those with a background in other areas, such as experience working for main contractors are encouraged to apply.</p><p>As a Lead Cost Manager you will work independently managing your own deliverables, but also work well as part of a team. You will strive to promote and maintain the highest of professional standards, while supporting junior staff to grow and learn through your knowledge and experience.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Collaborate and develop good relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally</li><li>Responsible for pre and post-contract quantity surveying duties</li><li>Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan</li><li>Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents</li><li>Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control process</li><li>Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client</li><li>Negotiating and agreeing final accounts</li><li>Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities</li><li>Supporting developing and securing new business opportunities as required.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><h3>Education</h3><ul><li>Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>10+ years in cost management, with a strong focus on pre-contract.</li><li>Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects independently.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder coordination.</li><li>Understanding of local cost benchmarks.</li></ul><h3>Technical Skills</h3><ul><li>Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and tender documentation.</li><li>Ability to present cost strategies and reports to clients and senior stakeholders.</li><li>Strong understanding of various methods of measurement (e.g., NRM, POMI, CESMM).</li><li>Skilled in measurement software such as CostX or similar.</li></ul><h3>Leadership</h3><ul><li>Ability to lead cost management activities across multiple projects.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Capable of mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
