About the job Lead Civil & Structural EngineerAccommodation: Self-managed Star Services LLC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to join our team at EGA, Al Taweelah. As the Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil and structural engineering activities for the Al Taweelah Alumina Refinery project. This is a full-time position with a duration of 12 months.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of civil and structural engineers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.Review and approve civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by the team.Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.Monitor and control project progress, costs, and quality to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering activities.Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction activities are in compliance with the approved designs and specifications.Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the construction phase.Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations.Mentor and develop junior engineers in the team.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable university.Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, and ETABS.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with local regulations and standards in the UAE is preferred.Valid UAE driving license is a plus.Benefits and CompensationWe offer a competitive salary of AED 33,050/month (non-negotiable) and other benefits including family status employment, 24 paid working days of leave, and self-managed accommodation and transport.
