LocationAbu Dhabi UAE / OffshoreSectorOil & Gas / Offshore Marine ServicesJob PurposeTo represent the project management team during offshore installation campaigns and act as the focal point for contractual construction marine safety and operational matters on offshore construction vessels and barges. We are seeking experienced Marine Consultancy Services Professionals to support offshore marine operations inspections engineering reviews diving supervision and vessel/barge representation activities for major offshore oil and gas projects. These roles require strong offshore experience solid understanding of marine safety and operational standards and the ability to work in demanding offshore project environments. Suitable candidates will be assigned based on project needs across marine inspection advisory engineering diving and offshore construction support functions.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the offshore focal point for project execution and contractor interfaceRepresent the project management team on all contractual and operational offshore mattersLiaise closely with marine representatives and offshore operations teamsEnsure approved construction procedures are strictly followedCoordinate and monitor contractor daily activities offshoreReview change orders, extra works and scope deviations and elevate as neededSupervise assigned offshore site team members across marine safety survey and engineering disciplinesPrepare daily progress reports highlighting progress risks incidents and recommendationsSign contractor daily reports and record observations where necessaryEnsure contractor compliance with approved HSE QA/QC and operating proceduresSupport emergency preparedness and response planningPrepare close-out reports with lessons learned and final observationsQualificationsBSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperienceMinimum15 years of total offshore oil and gas industry experienceMinimum10 years of direct exposure to offshore construction and installation projectsStrong experience with jackets, decks, bridges, subsea cables, pipelines/risers, hook-up/tie-ins, pre-commissioning and commissioningExperience gained on offshore construction vessels and barges including self-elevating units and derrick/lay bargesStrong knowledge of offshore construction practices, marine regulations, QA/QC, welding/coating, anchor handling, survey/navigation, pipe laying, cable laying, riser installation and commissioning proceduresGood understanding of international safety codes and offshore HSE requirementsFluency in EnglishAdditional InformationSuccessful candidates will typically demonstrate:Strong offshore oil and gas marine experienceSound knowledge of marine safety, HSE and operational proceduresExperience working with offshore vessels, barges or marine construction unitsGood technical reporting and communication skills in EnglishAbility to work in offshore operational environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsStrong compliance mindset and familiarity with international marine standards and best practicesPlease note that only shortlisted candidates will be contactedRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFull-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
