Laytime / Demurrage Specialist

The Purpose of the role is to carry out the transcription of terms included in Charterparty, Recap, Contracts within the company provided software and carry out the Laytime/Demurrage calculation using the application supporting documentation for the relevant port call. The role requires you to have a good understanding of Tanker Charterparties, key laytime/demurrage terms, contracts and provisions related to the voyage. Knowledge and understanding of terminology used in the petroleum industry and dry commodities businesses, marine and terminal operations is a requirement.The minimum Qualification required to perform this role is GraduationAs a Specialised Education, the candidate must have an MBA in Shipping or an equivalent degree.A minimum of 4 years work experience with a Shipping company (mainly handling Charter-parties, vessel operations or equivalent) of which at leastat least 3 years experience in Laytime / demurrage, preferably within the oil industry.
