Land Surveyor / Site Survey Engineer

<div><p>The Land Surveyor is responsible for all surveying and geospatial control activities on construction sites. This role ensures accurate setting-out, alignment, leveling, and verification of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>The position plays a critical role in maintaining project control points, ensuring compliance with approved IFC drawings, supporting installation accuracy, and preparing complete as-built documentation for final project handover and authority approvals.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>Surveying&Site Layout</h3><ul><li>Establish, maintain, and verify horizontal and vertical control points</li><li>Perform setting-out for civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and external works</li><li>Ensure all works are executed as per approved IFC drawings and tolerances</li><li>Carry out daily surveying for excavation, foundations, concrete works, steel structures, finishing works, and installations</li></ul><h3>Construction Monitoring&Verification</h3><ul><li>Conduct daily checks on structural and MEP elements for alignment, levels, slopes, and positioning</li><li>Verify subcontractor setting-out works and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required</li><li>Monitor settlement, structural movement, verticality, and alignment of buildings and equipment</li><li>Participate in inspections with consultants, clients, and authorities</li></ul><h3>Equipment Installation Support</h3><ul><li>Verify positioning of mechanical and electrical systems including AHUs, chillers, pumps, piping, cable trays, and firefighting systems</li><li>Ensure accuracy prior to anchoring, grouting, or permanent fixing</li><li>Support commissioning readiness through validation of installation coordinates</li></ul><h3>Testing&Commissioning Support</h3><ul><li>Assist in pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities</li><li>Verify dimensional compliance, elevations, slopes, and system alignment</li><li>Check drainage invert levels and provide measurement reports for testing activities</li></ul><h3>As‑Built Documentation</h3><ul><li>Prepare accurate as‑built survey data including coordinates, levels, and equipment locations</li><li>Develop and update drawings using AutoCAD or Civil 3D</li><li>Document underground utilities such as water, sewer, electrical, and telecom networks</li><li>Coordinate with QA/QC and drafting teams for submission to consultants and authorities including KEZAD, DMT, and Civil Defense</li><li>Provide digital deliverables in required formats (AutoCAD, GIS)</li></ul><h3>Coordination&Communication</h3><ul><li>Work closely with site engineers, QA/QC teams, subcontractors, and project managers</li><li>Provide daily updates on survey progress and site constraints</li><li>Participate in coordination meetings and technical discussions</li><li>Advise teams on survey accuracy, tolerances, and best practices</li></ul><h3>Survey Equipment Management</h3><ul><li>Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and digital levels</li><li>Ensure proper calibration, accuracy, and safe handling of equipment</li><li>Maintain logs, calibration records, and survey documentation</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor, including at least 3 years in the UAE</li><li>Experience working with general contractors on building or industrial projects</li><li>Strong knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems and surveying techniques</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D</li><li>Understanding of construction tolerances and QA/QC procedures</li><li>Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (KEZAD, DMT, Civil Defense)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and MEP shop drawings</li><li>Good communication skills in English</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities Summary</h3><ul><li>Maintain accurate project control points (horizontal&vertical)</li><li>Verify construction works for compliance with drawings and tolerances</li><li>Support installation, testing, and commissioning through survey validation</li><li>Prepare complete and accurate as‑built documentation</li><li>Ensure survey data supports authority approvals and project close‑out</li></ul><h3>Professional Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Ensure accuracy and reliability of all survey data</li><li>Maintain traceability of measurements and calibration records</li><li>Provide accurate data for safe and efficient construction sequencing</li><li>Report deviations promptly and recommend corrective actions</li><li>Support project teams in resolving coordination and technical challenges</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
