<div><h3><b>Lactation Consultant Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE</b></h3><h3><b>MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB</b></h3><p>Tocoordinate, plan and manage education related to breast feeding and related services for patients and family members</p><h3><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS</b></h3><ul><li>Develop and implement standards of care guidelines for assisting breastfeeding mothers</li><li>Plan and coordinate patient and family member educational activities</li><li>Develops and maintains current breastfeeding resource materials for educational purposes</li><li>Assess patient breastfeeding progress and provide professional guidance and support</li><li>Actively participate in relevant community initiatives aimed at raising awareness and education</li><li>Maintain and update Key Performance Indicators according to the requirements of the Baby Friendly Hospital initiative</li></ul><h3><b>REQUIRED EDUCATION</b></h3><ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and/or Midwifery from a recognised Nursing Institute</li><li>IBCLC certification</li><li>A post graduate qualification in Midwifery will be an advantage</li></ul><h3><b>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE</b></h3><p>At least 2 years’ experience in a related nursing field</p><h3><b>REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE</b></h3><ul><li>Breast feeding process, ante-partum, intra-partum and postpartum health care and psychosocial issues</li><li>Client service and related management principles</li><li>Facilitation skills and principles of adult learning</li><li>Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and the effects on lactation for ante-partum, intra-partum and postpartum patients and new born babies to toddlers</li><li>Organising skills</li><li>Verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic will be an advantage)</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
