Laboratory Technicians

ResponsibilitiesPerforms on assigned shift a variety of sampling activities for Gas, Condensate, Water, Steam, LNG, QRC, Sulfur, environmental and effluent samples.Performs sampling of LNG, QRC, Condensate and Sulfur during cargoes loading and from loading tanks as well as process chemicals and other substances.a) Carries out in accordance with schedules and adhoc operations requirements all plants sampling, all gas types, water, condensate, sulfur, water, steam and potable water, as well as all test required for finished products certification and other similar tests.b) Checks and records requested samples and reports to Lab/area operator to enable them to take action for any extra sampling requirements.c) Perform on site training for area operators for sampling types and procedures to enable them to perform sampling by safe and proper ways.d) Obtain chemicals and material samples and maintains sampling points, devices and apparatus in proper condition.e) Reports damage and malfunction of sampling points and equipment to the lab supervisor for necessary action.f) Collects special samples of specific nature, such as inflammable or toxic samples, reports abnormal conditions during shift to lab/area supervisor.g) Carries out other similar or related duties such as observing safety rules, equipment, and chemicals, keeping sampling areas clean and in good condition, preparing various sampling containers for sampling.QualificationsCompletion of Secondary (12 years) education, science stream or equivalent.5 years work experience of sampling and laboratory analytical testing in Oil/ Gas Processing plantsGood working knowledge of English.Laboratory sampling technicians shall possess valid Light Duty Qatari Driving License#J-18808-Ljbffr
