<div><p><b>Job Description</b>Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding Key Stage Leader – Upper Primary for The Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi to join in Academic Year 2026/2027.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family.</p><p>Candidates must have a secure knowledge of teaching and leading a phase in the English National Curriculum. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of implementing effective strategies to raise standards and plug gaps in learning to ensure outstanding progress for all. They should demonstrate leadership skills at a variety of levels and be effective in working collaboratively in a team.</p><p>The successful candidate will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and implement policies and practices for the department which reflect the School’s vision, aims, commitment to high standards of achievement, and effective teaching and learning.</li><li>Establish, monitor and evaluate short, medium and long term plans for the development of the department.</li><li>Use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving in the department; create and implement plans of action to support those students.</li><li>Analyse and interpret relevant school data to inform policies and department/school SEF writing.</li><li>Ensure that appropriate and relevant schemes of work are developed, in place, and regularly reviewed and evaluated for all year groups and courses, including provision for SEN/POD, G&T and EAL students.</li><li>Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the department for all students, including those of high ability and those with special educational needs.</li><li>Set expectations for staff in relation to standards of achievement and the quality of teaching and learning and behaviour.</li><li>Evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in the department and use this to identify effective practice and areas for improvement; take action to further improve the quality of teaching and learning.</li><li>Performance‑manage the team in accordance with the school performance‑management policy.</li><li>Ensure efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.</li><li>Maintain efficient and effective control of the Department’s resource and CapEx budgets.</li><li>Use effective accommodation to create an effective and stimulating environment for teaching and learning in accordance with the Learning Environment Policy.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.</li></ul><h3>Minimum Experience</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 6 years’ teaching experience.</li><li>Experience of the UK curriculum.</li></ul><h3>Job Specific Knowledge&Skills</h3><ul><li>A commitment to an extensive enrichment programme.</li><li>Passionate and caring educators.</li></ul><p>We are an equal‑opportunity employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment, and we encourage UAE Nationals to apply.
