Job Description
Job Description As a Junior Naval Architect at our client company in Kochi, you will play a crucial role in various tasks related to naval architecture. You will be involved in stability and ballast calculations using GHS software, generating GHS models for heavy lift vessels and deck carriers, preparing stability booklets, RO-RO feasibility reports, and statutory ship drawings. Your responsibilities will also include GHS model validation and loading condition preparation. This position offers a valuable opportunity to work closely with senior professionals and gain practical experience in ship design and stability analysis.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in Stability and Ballast calculations using GHS software
- Generate GHS Models of heavy lift vessels and Deck carriers
- Help in preparing Stability booklet and RO-RO Feasibility report
- Prepare Statutory drawings of ships
- Validate GHS Models and prepare loading conditions
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture
- 1-2 years of experience in Ship design or stability calculations
- Knowledge of any Stability Software
- Strong fundamentals in Hydrostatics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle design tasks independently and effectively with less supervision
- Understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
- Basic understanding of Class rules and IMO Regulations
