Junior Estimation Engineer

Job Brief: We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimation Engineer to support the estimation and costing function within a metal fabrication environment. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects, supporting senior estimators in bid preparation, and working closely with engineering and procurement teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication estimation, a strong technical understanding of fabrication processes, and the ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines.ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation: Analyze technical drawings (2D/3D) to calculate material, labor, and finishing costs specifically for sheet metal fabrication.ERP Management: Utilize Odoo ERP to input data, manage Bill of Materials (BOM), and track project estimates.Technical Support: Assist the Senior Estimator in preparing comprehensive commercial bids and quotations.Material Take-off: Perform accurate quantity take-offs and coordinate with the procurement team for current market pricing of materials like stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.Process Optimization: Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, powder coating) to provide the most cost-effective solutions.QualificationsMinimum of 2+ years of professional experience specifically within the Sheet Metal or Metal Fabrication industry (Mandatory).Proficiency in Odoo ERP and AutoCAD. Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software is a plus.Must hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.Currently based in the UAE and available for face-to-face interviews.Open to candidates with abroad experience.Open to gaining experience with international projects and potential abroad assignments if required.Strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
