In this role, you will contribute to the design and planning of wells, ensuring optimal investment outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental responsibility. Employees benefit from a forward-looking culture focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous professional development, alongside a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible energy practices.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare well data sheets and technical documentationDesign and specify wellhead and drilling equipmentDevelop detailed drilling programmesCollect and analyse operational data, providing recommendations where neededPerform engineering analysis of rig-site data and produce regular reportsMonitor daily drilling progress and costs, recommending improvements where appropriateCollaborate with contractors and service providers (e.g. cementing and drilling fluids)Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper well maintenanceSupport the preparation and administration of drilling and service contractsCoordinate and assist in supervising drilling team activitiesContribute to well planning and engineering design workWork with multidisciplinary teams to assess project viability and track drilling performanceQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Engineering or a related scientific disciplineExperience in oil and gas drilling operationsPrevious exposure to well-site activities (e.g. Drilling Supervisor or Well Site Engineer roles)Technical Skills & TrainingKnowledge of drilling engineering technologiesTraining in drilling operations and health, safety, and environmental practicesFamiliarity with industry software (e.g. drilling design and reporting tools)Understanding of risk management and change management in drilling operationsCore CompetenciesSolid understanding of drilling operations, including drilling fluids and cementing designExposure to advanced drilling techniques is advantageousAwareness of complex drilling environments (e.g. extended reach, high pressure/high temperature wells)Strong data handling and computer skillsKnowledge of completion and production optimisation is a plusAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teamsHigh level of integrity and professionalismStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities#J-18808-Ljbffr
