Department: Sterile or Non-Sterile Compounding LaboratoryReports To: Sterile or Non-Sterile Lab ManagerLocation: Magenta RX Compounding Pharmacy – Dubai, UAESchedule: Full-time, 48 hours per week (Shift-based, if necessary)Job SummaryThe Junior Compounding Pharmacist plays a vital role in the daily operations of the compounding laboratory by ensuring the accurate, safe, and timely preparation of customized medications. This position is responsible for maintaining strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards, FDA guidelines, and UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) regulations. The Junior Pharmacist assists in managing compounding materials, verifying prescription orders, ensuring formulation quality, and contributing to a clean and compliant laboratory environment. The role directly supports the Sterile or Non-Sterile Lab Manager in ensuring high‑quality patient‑specific formulations are prepared with precision and consistency.Primary ResponsibilitiesInterpret and compound prescription orders accurately and promptly in accordance with the prescription and patient‑specific requirements.Ensure all compounded medications are prepared using safe, pure, and effective ingredients that meet USP, FDA, and/or UAE MOHAP standards.Avoid compounding and dispensing errors by following established SOPs, formulation records, and double‑check systems.Compliance & Quality AssuranceStrictly follow and enforce internal SOPs, USP , , , guidelines, FDA compounding regulations, and UAE MOHAP standards.Maintain quality, sterility, stability, and accuracy of all compounded products through best practices in aseptic and non‑aseptic techniques.Document compounding activities, cleaning logs, batch records, and quality control checks as per Good Compounding Practices (GCP).Lab Operations & Inventory ManagementEnsure that compounding laboratories are consistently clean, well‑organized, and audit‑ready.Oversee and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of compounding equipment and tools.Monitor inventory levels of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, containers, and consumables to avoid stock‑outs.Report shortages and participate in the ordering and procurement process to ensure continuity of patient care.Team Support & SupervisionSupervise and guide pharmacy helpers and support staff in their cleaning, setup, and pre‑compounding activities.Foster a culture of compliance, teamwork, accountability, and quality within the laboratory setting.Communicate proactively with the Lab Manager, QA/QC staff, and pharmacists to align operations with daily prescription volume and business needs.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate batch documentation, master formulation records (MFRs), and compounding logs in compliance with regulatory standards.Prepare incident reports and corrective actions for any deviation, complaint, or error.Participate in internal audits and implement quality improvement plans when required.Education & Licensing RequirementsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BPharm) – RequiredMaster of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – PreferredSpecialized Skills & KnowledgeProven experience in a pharmacy or clinical compounding setting.Good understanding of sterile and non‑sterile compounding practices.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), compounding software, and electronic documentation systems.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Physical & Work RequirementsPhysically fit, with no serious medical conditions that may impair the ability to stand for long periods, lift laboratory equipment, or perform repetitive tasks.Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.Able to participate in cleaning, lifting, and washing of laboratory devices and containers.Performance Evaluation CriteriaZero tolerance for compounding or dispensing errors.Compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.Timeliness and accuracy in prescription fulfillment.Cleanliness and readiness of lab environment.Communication and teamwork effectiveness.Contribution to maintaining continuity of supply and inventory readiness.#J-18808-Ljbffr
