Main AccountabilitiesThe position of an accountant will be based in Dubai United Arab Emirates. It shall report directly to the Finance Shared Services Centre Manager. This position shall be primarily responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the Company.Detailed Job DescriptionPost purchase invoices, employee expense claims and liaise with ancillary departments to ensure that relevant approvals are obtained per the workflowUpdate banks and prepare bank reconciliation statementsPost sales invoices and control the settlements with customersVerify allocate post and reconcile transactions by ensuring the accounting treatment of an entity's transactionsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial status as per the business requirementsPrepare periodic reconciliations of intercompany balances and vendor/customer balancesAssistance with the periodic closing of accounts and associated analysis; ensure the reliability of monthly and annual accounts in accordance with IFRS and local standardsEnsure compliance with accounting and financial procedures and internal control rules defined by the GroupLiaise with other transverse financial functionsSupport with the annual audit of the books of accountContribute to the continuous improvement of the performance of accounting and financial processes with regard to the accounting and financial information systems implemented.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance with knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.Proven financial analysis skillsExcellent accounting software and Excel/Google sheet user and administration skills.Accuracy and attention to detail with high focus on suppliers payments.Good knowledge and practice of accounting and financial techniques (IFRS standards and local accounting and tax rules).Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes for both internal control and procedural efficiency.Ability to organize and plan the process of periodic account closing and meet accounting and tax deadlines.Additional InformationAttention to Detail: Accountants need to be meticulous in their work as they deal with numbers, financial data and complex calculations.Analytical Skills: They should possess strong analytical abilities to interpret financial information, identify trends and solve problems.Integrity: Integrity is crucial in accounting as accountants handle sensitive financial information.
