Job Description As a Java Developer joining our team in Mumbai on a 6-month contract, your role will involve designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications with a focus on backend development. Your expertise in modern Java frameworks, microservices architecture, and cloud-based environments will be essential for this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based applications - Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, QA, and DevOps - Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices - Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning - Work on database design, optimization, and query performance - Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) - Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability **Technical Skills Required:** - Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above) - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security - Experience in building Microservices Architecture - Knowledge of REST APIs & Web Services - Familiarity with Hibernate / JPA - Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB - Understanding of Kafka / RabbitMQ (good to have) - Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (preferred) - Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines **Good to Have:** - Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) - Exposure to DevOps practices - Understanding of system design and distributed systems - Experience in performance tuning and optimization As a candidate for this role, you are expected to have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/IT or related field, possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrate good communication and teamwork abilities, and exhibit the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment with a self-driven and proactive mindset.
